The night began with a simple mission; eat as much as we could, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Upon arriving at Arthur's we were escorted upstairs and were basically sat in our own section. We proceeded to establish ourselves as the table to serve for our waitress simply with our drink orders and appetizers. After taking our small orders, she quickly asked if we were ready to order...her first mistake. Our order was as follows:

• 6 doubles (a double is 48oz)
• 4 regulars (a regular is 24oz)
• 6 racks of ribs
• 1 petite cut (a petite is 12oz)
• 1 roll of garlic bread
• 1 bowl of chili
• 2 bowls of Freedom onion soup
• 2 cheesecakes, maybe more
• 1 tartufo
• plus additional drinks and foods I'm forgetting (will be fixed as info comes in)

A pretty daunting bill for anyone, this one tipped the scale at over seven hundred dollars. Over the course of the painful night the rookies stepped up and finished for the most part, or at least made a valiant effort. The MVP candidates made attempts at greatness and some succeeded while others fell shorts. Rob McCrone finished 1 2/3 of his 2 doubles, Chris Nowell finished his double and a rack of ribs (despite his depression over the lack of lobster), and Ryan McCrone finished 3 racks of ribs and a regular cut steak.

Lady and Gentlemen, the leftovers are long gone and the final votes have been counted.

The award for Rookie of the Year goes to...Kevin Hollywood. In his first trip to Arthur.s Kevin put away his double faster than any other of the rookies. His time, while not as good as some past rookies, was very impressive. The voting for this particular category was close but Kevin.s methodical eating of his steak which caused him to finish his double fastest among the rookies also caused him to win the voting. Hollywood our beer is raised to you for winning and we hope to see you in the MVP running for the next steakfest.

The award for Most Valuable Player goes to.Ryan McCrone. The first two time MVP of Steakfest put on a rib eating clinic. After eating his bowl of chili for his appetizer and quickly eating the first two racks and following that with his 24oz steak, he ordered his third rack of ribs and once again finished them in very good time. To finish up with his meal Ryan put down a piece of cheesecake with strawberries. This performance led him to win the title of MVP and now earns the right to try and defend his title at the next steakfest.

• Marty's Wife for being the most disgusted.
  Trish did her best to try and stave off indigestion from watching what happened at the table, but the combination of rib covered faces and gluttony present at the table caused the poor girl to think twice about ever coming again.
• Ryan McCrone for the Most Barbecue sauce on Face.
  In his quest to become the MVP, Ryan forgot about hygiene, nothing much more can be said about this.
• Klepto's Ringtone for being Two-Cocks-in-the-Mouth Gay.
  During the course of the carnage, Klepto Mike received a phone call and his cell phone ringer came on. Upon hearing the tune of 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' by WHAM, Chris Nowel uttered the phrase 'That was two cocks in the mouth GAY.' It has since become a very popular catch phrase.
• Jon for wearing his skirt in public while he ate half of his 24oz steak.
  The amount of food eaten by the average person (I've excluded Trish who ate her 12oz steak) was about 36oz, except for Jon who ate merely 12oz of his 24oz steak. Even the waitress was a little creeped out.
• The Waitress.
  Never has one girl been so happy and sad at the same time. Happy because she didn't have to worry about college loans for a while off of the tip, but sad because she was forced to carry this amount of food and make several trips to keep us happy.

Congratulations to everyone for their participation in the largest steakfest to date and a hard performance to outdo, but we will try during the next steakfest. Steakfest VI: In need of a better title.
